Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES) is a cost-effective anionic surfactant. Its core features are strong foaming power, excellent detergency, and rapid solubility in cold water. Compared with traditional SDS (sodium lauryl sulfate), it is less irritating, relatively mild, and its performance can be flexibly customized by adjusting the EO number. It also has good thickening compatibility and biodegradability, making it an ideal raw material that balances cleaning effect, user experience, and environmental economy.
Customer Problem: A leather factory's original degreasing agent did not completely remove the fat from raw hides during the degreasing process, leading to uneven tanning in subsequent processes.
Solution: Add SLES (recommended by our company) to the degreasing agent formula, utilizing its strong emulsifying ability for oils.
Results: The degreasing rate of raw hides was significantly improved, resulting in softer leather and more even dyeing.
Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate 70% (SLES 70%) is widely used in liquid detergent, such as dishware, shampoo, bubble bath and hand cleaner, etc. It can be used in washing powder and detergent for heavy dirty. It can be used to replace LAS, so that the general dosage of active matter is reduced. In textile, printing and dyeing, oil and leather industries, it is used as lubricant, dyeing agent, cleaner, foaming agent and degreasing agent.
